Jawbox Gin is a delightful, small batch, single estate, Irish spirit. A thoroughly modern London Dry.
Jawbox Gin is named in honour of one of the Belfast sinks, a.k.a. the Jawbox - one of Belfast’s lasting legacies. For its creators, the jawbox is representative of solid, uncompromising nature. Of careful attention to details and a pride in doing a job well, rather than doing it quickly. They've translated this ethos over to their single estate, Irish gin.
The Jawbox creators use a traditional copper pot still to slowly distil their base spirit, then add a careful selection of local and exotic botanicals to steep overnight. This gives a bold flavour while preserving the delicate botanicals. Enjoy crisp citrus, coriander and a firm pine flavour. This is joined by the quiet complexity of pepper, green angelica and a fine rootiness.
This has transformed my love of gin .. it's is easy and light to drink and is wonderful with ginger and honeycomb .. or just fevertree ginger ale instead of tonic .. it has such a refreshing taste to me and I could drink it all night and not just one ! I was at the festival in Birmingham last year and was so delighted to see a local gin to me at it and I must have converted so many people to it , everyone that tried it loved it !
Named after a Belfast stone sink commonly known as a jawbox. This is by far my favourite gin its smooth and tastes great with any flavour of fevertree and strawberry or raspberry garnish.
